| 「水晶導引團體」由三位斯德哥爾摩皇家藝術學院的學生─莉娜．貝珍妲、珍妮佛．瑞恩斯佛德和露．卡琳．雷特葛蘭於2008年組成，一起進行電影拍攝以及錄像裝置的創作；「水晶導引團體」的作品常深入非洲拍攝許多關於非洲的後殖民及當代處境。本作《雨馬》的場景位於肯亞奈洛比近郊的一座賽馬場，這裡的所有一切似乎都還停留在1970年代，也就是肯亞剛脫離英國殖民統治的時代；隨著大英帝國的徹底崩解所造成的社會變遷、以及聖嬰現象所引發的洪水氾濫，賽馬場的未來正面對著越來越多不可抵抗的阻力；面對這些劇變，馬夫僅能透過他的母雞和雞蛋，試著在民俗儀式中尋求答案…。 |
Crystal Beacon was formed in 2008 by 3 students from Kungliga Konsthögskolan Stockholm: Lena Bergendahl, Jennifer Rainsford, and Rut Karin Zettergren. Together they make films and video installations. Crystal Beacon often travels to Africa and films footages about the post-colonial and the contemporary circumstances in Africa. "Mvua Farasi (Rain Horse)" is set at a Kenyan race course in the outskirts of Nairobi where time seems to have frozen in the 70's when the British colonial era ended. Due to the social change after the collapse of the rein of the United Kingdom and the floods caused by El Niño, the future of the race course lies with more and more forces majeure. In the face of these drastic changes, one of the grooms can only use his hen and its eggs to make pseudo-scientific rituals and find his direction. |
